TARGET AUDIENCE

This CME activity is primarily intended and designed to educate pathologists.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

At the end of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Recognize and more accurately diagnose thyroid gland pathology, squamous cell carcinomas of the head and neck and salivary gland pathology.
  • Accurately assess pleuropulmonary tumors, neuroendocrine neoplasia and metastatic carcinoma of unknown origin.
  • Have a more complete understanding of immunohistology in neoplastic dermatopathology, melanocytic lesions that may stimulate melanoma and adnexal tumors of the skin.
  • Recognize and more accurately diagnose inflammatory, neoplastic, vascular and infectious skin disease including cutaneous lymphomas.
  • Discuss the legal consequences associated with dermatopathology and how to avoid them.
